Funded Purchases for 2017-2018

Here’s a list of items we funded during the 2017-2018 school year. These are your dollars at work for our students!

• $56 – Back to school teacher/ luncheon-fantastic dishes brought in by parents
• $95 – Fun night for 6th grade families- thank you Kroger and Walmart for $25 donation towards snacks
• $500 – Funded board games for students requested by Ms. Weidner
• $470 – Funded Ice cream end of quarter celebration for all students/ staff
• $10 – Funded required snack items requested by Nurse for students
• $10 – Parents provided food for “November Acts of Kindness” initiative for teachers
• $1155 – Funding for 2 laser color printers needed for teachers
• $1500 – Funding for 2 subscriptions to NewsElla programming for language arts
• $500 – Funding reserved for “Winning Attitudes’ program by SRO Haynie to be used as needed
• $3530 – Funded first complete equipment set for the BMS Video Studio ($2380 Video Studio funds; $1000 MCEF grant; $150 general funds)
• $425 – Provided funding and pickup of unmet needs for Thanksgiving baskets for BMS families in need
• $200 – Provided funding for student medical need as requested by RN/ prinicipal
• $170 – Provided end of semester Coffee bar social for BMS Staff as well holiday cookies for Bus drivers- thank you parents who brought in treats and helped bag and deliver goodies
• $109 – After-school Bingo for students- thank you Kroger for $15 donation towards snacks
• $1795 – Funded Brain Pop subscription requested from principal
• $495 – Funded Internet Safety and Social Media project request from guidance department
• $150 – Funded 15 VR sets for 7th grade social studies class
• $65 – Provided funding to support RN conference
• $300 – Sponsored FBLA students and staff advisor to attend higher level competition
• $15 – Funded required snack items requested by Nurse for students
• $150 – Special recognition for our Administration Assistants
• $750 – Teacher/ staff Appreciation Week- individual gifts for each staff member (thank you Walmart for $100 towards gifts and hospitality events each day)
• $900 – 8th grade dance requested by student body/ 8th grade dance committee
• $400 – Campus Beautification requested by Principal Weidner

Volunteer Efforts

In addition to fundraising, we’re always looking for ways to give back to the teachers and staff. They work so hard for our kids, so any time we can provide them with a meal or assist them in volunteer events, we’re always there. Here are volunteer efforts we’ve supported this year:

• Provided support for the Student Health Screening Day
• Provided support for the BMS Flu Clinic day
• Staff luncheon provided during parent/ teacher conference week by parents bringing in food
• Provided support for a successful book fair
• Provided hygiene items (thank you Cook Family Dentistry) and Food certificates (thank you McDonalds) for SRO Haynie Winning Attitudes Programs
• Provided a Taco Bar Luncheon for staff (thank you parent volunteers)
• Provided breakfast for Guidance Dept during Counselor appreciation week
• And many ongoing volunteer hours in the library, the copy shop and resources area that help make each day run smoothly at BMS
